The vision statement for Action Agape is: Action Agape is God’s unconditional love in action through Divine and diverse bursts of spiritually inspired service to our greater community. We seek to share truly exceptional projects that compel every participant to joyfully expand their commitment to service. Spirit shows us, through the uniqueness of each activity and locale, that variety is, indeed, the spice of Life. Simply, we are everywhere for God.

Action Agape serves diverse communities both independently and in partnership with community-based not-for-profit organizations. We provide whatever is needed for our partners: painting, clean-up, gardening, event staffing, organizing or other ways that we can be of service.

Action Agape serves several community based organizations throughout the year. On average, there is one project per month with opportunities to serve, and new volunteers are always welcome.

Some of our community partners include:

  • The Blazer Safe Haven Learning Center
  • Children’s Lifesaving Foundation
  • Community Services Unlimited Inc
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Los Angeles Regional Foodbank
  • Southern California Library for Social Studies and Research
  • Westside Children’s Center

Please let us know if you would like to be notified when opportunities to serve your community become available. We will add you to our e-mail notification list. To be added to the service opportunities list or for more information, contact us.

Additionally, Action Agape visions monthly. Please contact us if you have taken classes at Agape and would like more information about our vision core.

EmpowerLA is about helping each person to realize that we are ALL capable of making a positive difference in others’ lives. EmpowerLA Volunteer Directors (Mentors) are committed to working one on one with individuals to help each and every one find their passion and purpose.

EmpowerLA’s vision is for Los Angeles to lead the world in people helping people. Their mission is to establish Los Angeles as the world model for engaging people in helping others, and to provide an avenue for people who want to get involved but don’t know how. Additionally, EmpowerLA provides nonprofit organizations with an avenue to recruit from the school community for the school community.

Agape International Spiritual Center, through Action Agape, is now part of the EmpowerLA collaborative. We want you to use your creative mind to create your own ideal service opportunity based upon your talents, passions, and personal goodness. As part of this process, each volunteer will be matched up with their own personal EmpowerLA Mentor.
