What?!!

The Agape International Choir is a dynamic collection of over 200 individuals who are of service to the high vibration of Unconditional Love. When these voices join together, something positively breathtaking occurs, bringing transformation and true joy to the planet. Under the beautiful direction of Dr. Rickie Byars-Beckwith, The Agape International Choir raises the roof and helps to raise consciousness wherever they go.

Where?!!

The choir sings on the last Sunday and the second Wednesday of every month at their spiritual home, the Agape International Center.

The Agape Choir has been honored to perform in venues such as the 2008 Democratic National Convention and Inauguration in Washington DC., at Lincoln Center, the United Nations, The Hollywood Bowl, Greek Theatre, John Anson Ford Theatre and The Getty Museum. Additionally, the choir takes the love to the streets, bringing light and tremendous joy to downtown Culver City and LA’s Skid Row, with an inclusive program steeped in healing music and messages of self-acceptance and empowerment.

How?!!

Joining the Agape Choir
The choir opens every Spring and those wanting to join just come to rehearsal and sing the chorus of “I Release.” This year auditions began in March, 2014. The choir remains open for about a month and reopens in the Spring of the following year.

Requirements: Being a member of Agape for at least 6 months and being of service in one of the ministries in the community and/or taking classes through UTSLA for at least 6 months.

For more information on becoming a member or inviting the choir to be a part of your special event, please contact Marianne Lewis at marianne.lewis@agapelive.com

Also….

Join us for Chant Wednesday, held on the first Wednesday of each month. Everyone is invited into the sanctuary, in person or via streaming, to sing and celebrate the spirit with Rickie’s powerful chants that are beloved throughout the world.

The Agape Choir Ensemble, directed by Marianne Lewis, performed recently at the Saban Theater for the Kindred Spirits Organization benefiting “Save a Child’s Heart” Foundation. The Agape Choir Ensemble gathered today during services to share one of their favorite musical selections from that evening with us, “I Was Here”.

“I Was Here” was originally written by Hillary Scott, Gary Burr, and Victoria Shaw; and was recorded by Lady Antebellum in 2008.
