A LEGACY OF LOVE; TAKING IT TO THE STREETS!!
Agape International Spiritual Center
25th Annual Sacred Service Saturday
June 16th, 2018
A Special Invitation from Michael Bernard Beckwith
Join me and the Beloved Community on June 16th for Agape’s 25th Sacred Service Saturday.
“A Legacy of Love: Taking it to the Streets”
Agape’s Sacred Service Saturday extends to each of us an opportunity to express the qualities of the heart we aspire to cultivate as spiritual practitioners: unconditional love, compassion, generosity, and selflessness. One of Agape’s core values that goes hand-in-hand with our practice of timeless wisdom teachings is the practice of timely action through being of service to our brothers and sisters. This is how we spread the contagious light of Agape love throughout our city, the country, and the world. His Holiness the Dalai Lama describes it as “a sense of universal responsibility…a commitment in action that is vital to our future.”
It is programs like Sacred Service Saturday that invite us to become agents of change that build the momentum toward a kinder tomorrow for all beings. I point to our Satel-Light participants in India, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, Canada, Kentucky, throughout California and other states including Texas, Hawaii, New York, Pennsylvania, and more. So if you would like to participate but are not in the greater Los Angels area, please email us at SSSLights@AgapeLive.com.
Until we come together on June 16th, may each of us be an embodiment of generosity and compassion, a lighthouse whose strong beam cuts through the density of challenges facing our world, pointing the way to a more peaceful, altruistic, and loving human interconnectedness.
Love, peace, and richest blessings to you,
Michael Bernard Beckwith

To all participants:
Projects are assigned on a first come/first gets-to-serve basis.
Project descriptions are indicated as given to us at the time of posting but are subject to change. Please help our team by being open and flexible. We will do our very best to help you find your perfect place to be of service.
Bring your lunch unless otherwise informed. If you bring your lunch, consider a “zero waste” approach. Bringing re-useable containers, utensils, cloth napkins etc, and leaving no trace behind, demonstrates our love for the planet and puts our practice into service.
Please plan for the whole day so everyone can share this expanded experience of service and community.
Please be on time in the morning and afternoon.
Please wear clothes you can get dirty and, for most projects, closed toed shoes.
Please be aware that projects, particularly clean-up projects, outdoor projects and those involving animals, may include encounters with insects, rodents, reptiles and other living beings.
Please be aware that all projects will include encounters with human beings.
You are not considered to be “there in Spirit” unless you are “there in Body.” Spirit will be there in Spirit. If you sign up, please show up!!
