Agape University is a global spiritual education community devoted to awakening consciousness, cultivating spiritual maturity, and preparing individuals to live and serve from the deepest truth of who they are.

Rooted in the teachings of Rev. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith and the New Thought lineage, Agape University offers transformative courses, cohort-based programs, and practitioner training designed to support personal awakening, spiritual embodiment, and conscious leadership.

In 2026, Agape University is expanding and refining its offerings to better serve students at every stage of their spiritual journey—from those exploring foundational practices to those called to serve as Professional Practitioners.

What’s New in 2026

Beginning in 2026, in addition to our core transformational courses, Agape University is introducing a streamlined, cohort-based prerequisite pathway for students who feel called to apply to the Professional Practitioner Studies Program (PPSP).

This new structure provides:

• Greater clarity for students to understand the full range of Agape University offerings and participate at the level that aligns with their calling, curiosity, and capacity
• Stronger preparation for Practitioner Studies
• More spaciousness for new and expanded classes
• A unified educational pathway aligned with Agape’s mission and lineage

Next Steps: Advanced Spiritual Training

For students ready to move forward with their spiritual development and expansion, Agape University is pleased to offer advanced spiritual training in these programs: the Foundations Program and the Professional Practitioner Studies Program (PPSP).  These programs are designed to prepare students to serve within the Agape community and in all areas of life. Both programs provide students with the opportunity to integrate New Thought/Ageless Wisdom teachings into their Life Structures and interactions with others.

 

After successful completion of both programs, students have the option to participate in the beloved community as spiritual counselors, leaders and educational facilitators.  This training prepares students to be initiated into the Agape Sacred Order of Practitioner Core as licensed spiritual counselors.  Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioners (ALSP) are the healing arm of the Agape International Spiritual Center, dedicated to providing support to Agape ministers, volunteers, and congregants.

 

ALSP: A Calling, Not a Credential

The Professional Practitioner Studies Program is for those who feel an inner yes, deep yearning to live their spirituality consciously, consistently, and in service to others.

This is a path of:

For those who feel called, PPSP offers the training, support, and sacred container to answer that call with clarity and integrity.

The next step toward practitioner training is enrollment in the Foundations Program.  After completing the Foundations Program, students are eligible to apply to the Professional Practitioner Studies Program

The Foundations Program: The Pathway to Practitioner Studies is a required prerequisite for students applying to the Professional Practitioner Studies Program (PPSP).

This comprehensive 30-week program brings together all foundational prerequisite teachings into one cohesive, supportive, and transformative experience—ensuring that students enter Practitioner Studies spiritually grounded, emotionally prepared, and fully aligned with the consciousness of a Spiritual Practitioner.

Program Structure

Term 1: Foundations

Spiritual practices, prayer, meditation, life visioning, stages of consciousness, roots of the Agape movement.

Term 2: Life Structures & Mysticism

Prosperity, relationships, health & wholeness, universal laws, practicing the presence, applied metaphysics.

Term 3: Embodiment

Spiritual liberation, self-awareness, leadership, integration, presentation skills, and practitioner-level embodiment.

 

Advanced Studies Application Process

FOUNDATIONS PROGRAM:

This program is for students who are:

• New to Agape University or interested in advanced personal spiritual development
• Answering an inner call to become an Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner (ALSP) with an intention to apply to the PPSP program
• In the process of completing prerequisite coursework for PPSP
• Unable to provide documentation for previously completed classes will be required to enroll in the Foundations Program.

 

PROFESSIONAL PRACTITIONER STUDIES PROGRAM:

Students who believe they have completed all prerequisite coursework and intend to apply to PPSP Year 1 – Fall 2026 will be required to:

• Complete an Intent to Apply to PPSP – Fall 2026 Form by May 31, 2026
• Submit documentation and transcripts verifying:
  • Course titles
  • Dates completed
  • Locations or institutions where the courses were taken
  • Instructor or program information (when available)

This documentation allows Agape University to ensure alignment, consistency, and shared foundational language across all incoming Practitioner cohorts.

Completion of prerequisite classes must be verified and approved to apply directly to PPSP Year 1, Fall 2026.

 

 

 

Professional Practitioner Studies Program (PPSP)

A Two-Year Initiatory Path of Consciousness, Service, and Spiritual Leadership

A Spiritual Practitioner is not merely a body of knowledge, but a state of consciousness—one that realizes its oneness with the Infinite and is dedicated to demonstrating spiritual principles in daily life. From this lived realization, the Practitioner serves as a therapeutic agent of the Spirit, offering prayer, presence, and spiritual support for the upliftment and healing of body, mind, and spirit.

The Sacred Order of Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioners is the healing arm of the Agape spiritual community. This order is devoted to the realization and demonstration of Truth and Wholeness within the Agape community and the world at large.

The Professional Practitioner Studies Program (PPSP) is the formal training pathway into this Sacred Order.

About the Professional Practitioner Studies Program

The Professional Practitioner Studies Program is a rigorous, experiential, consciousness-building journey designed for those who feel called to serve as licensed spiritual counselors and practitioners within the Agape spiritual community.

Rooted in the principles of New Thought and Ageless Wisdom as taught at Agape University, PPSP prepares students for advanced participation in spiritual community through the development of:

• Spiritual maturity and embodiment
• Mastery of prayer and meditation as spiritual technology
• Skill in spiritual counseling and compassionate listening
• Conscious leadership and community building
• Ethical integrity and personal responsibility

Being an Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner (ALSP) is not simply a credential—it is a calling and a lifelong commitment to placing God first and living as a beneficial presence in the world.

 

 

Program Structure

The Professional Practitioner Studies Program is a two-year course of study, with each year requiring a separate application and acceptance process.

Professional Practitioner Studies I

30 Weeks

Year One focuses on building a strong foundation in:

• Spiritual principles and metaphysics
• Affirmative Prayer and meditation
• Consciousness development
• Self-awareness and spiritual responsibility
• Foundational spiritual counseling skills

Professional Practitioner Studies II

30 Weeks

Year Two deepens the work through:

• Advanced application of spiritual principles
• Spiritual leadership and service
• Community engagement and facilitation
• Greater responsibility, embodiment, and integration
• Preparation for licensing and professional service

Participation & Growth Work

Students are expected to participate fully and actively in all aspects of the program, including:

• Completing growth work assignments on time
• Engaging in large and small group dialogue
• Asking questions and participating in class processes
• Practicing prayer and meditation consistently

Growth work is an essential component of the program. These assignments are designed to reveal, expand, and develop untapped mental, emotional, and spiritual capacities. When engaged sincerely, growth work supports profound personal transformation—cultivating a deeper awareness of unity with all of Life and activating each student’s unique gifts and talents in service.

Application, Certification & Licensing Process

Application Process

Students must apply and be accepted into PPSP Year I

• Successful completion of Year I is required to apply for PPSP Year II
• Each year includes an evaluation process to ensure readiness for continued training

Certificates of Completion

Upon successful completion of:

• Professional Practitioner Studies Year 1, students receive a Certificate of Acknowledgement
• Professional Practitioner Studies Year 2, students receive a Certificate of Completion

These certificates acknowledge the completion of academic and experiential training requirements.

Licensing Process

After successfully completing both years of the Professional Practitioner Studies Program, students may apply for Licensing as an Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioner (ALSP).

The licensing process includes:

• Submission of a formal licensing application
• Participation in oral panel interviews
• Evaluation by a panel of trusted ministers and licensed practitioners

Upon successful completion of the oral panels and approval by the licensing body, the candidate is granted licensure.

Initiation into the Agape Practitioner Core

Following licensure, new Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioners are formally initiated into the Sacred Order of Agape Licensed Spiritual Practitioners.

This initiation marks:

• A sacred transition into service
• A public acknowledgment of readiness
• A commitment to ongoing spiritual practice, integrity, and service

As members of the Sacred Order, Practitioners serve as prayer partners, spiritual counselors, and healing presences—supporting individuals, the Agape community, and the world at large. After initiation, ALSPs are under the leadership of the Director of the Practitioner Core.
